Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi (D)
Upon arrival at Hanoi’s international airport, our guide will welcome you then transfer to Hanoi city center by car.
In the evening, you will enjoy a welcome dinner accompanied by a traditional Vietnamese music show. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B, L)
Today we will begin to tour Hanoi, visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda the Museum of Ethnology and the Temple of Literature. Walk around the Hoan Kiem Lake, and enjoy a one-hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter.
In the early evening, attend a famous Water Puppet Show. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Bac Ninh – Ha Long Bay (B,L)
Heading out of Hanoi to Ha Long Bay, your route takes you to Ha Bac Province and the village of Due Dong, north of Hanoi, where Quan Ho singing was born in about the 16th century. Here, in the 200-year-old communal house, you can sit and listen to a Quan Ho performance by the star singers of the village.
After the performance, you can visit the homes of the artists (including an 80-year-old lady, who is one of the leading singers), sip tea, ask questions, and share experiences.
Then proceed to the World Heritage-listed Ha Long Bay. Check in hotel in Halong Bay and stay overnight there.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)
Today you will have about 5 hours to explore the mystery and beauty of Ha Long Bay. Throughout the approximately 3,885km square (1,500 square mile) bay, thousands of oddly shaped limestone islets and rock jut up out of the water. Enjoying a leisurely boat trip through the bay stopping to explore some of the many islands, caves and grottoes.
In the afternoon, we return to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi – Hue (B, L) 
Transfer to airport to catch an early flight south to Hue, the ancient imperial city of the Nguyen Kings. With the help of UNESCO and other international organizations, the palace buildings are being restored. Our guide and driver will pick up you at the airport and transfer to your hotel to check in.
In the afternoon, you can head into town by cyclo to visit the market and the ancient Royal Citadel, constructed in 1805 and the greatest legacy of the Nguyen emperors. Overnight in Hue.
Day 6: Hue – Hoi An (B, L)
In the morning, we take a boat ride on the Perfume River, visit the Thien Mu Pagoda then drive to visit Tu Duc King’s Tomb.
In the afternoon, drive to ancient Hoi An via the breathtaking Hai Van Pass, marveling at some of Vietnam’s most spectacular scenery. Check in hotel in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoi An (B, L)
You will spend the rest of day visiting the town of Hoi An – walking over the Japanese Bridge, visiting the different Chinese Assembly Halls and pagodas and walking the market.
In the afternoon, you will take a boat ride to some of the islands in the river. Here you can see some of the craftspeople at work – carvers, papermakers, and others or enjoy the unspoilt Cua Dai beach at your leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 8: Saigon & Cu Chi (B, L)
Early in the morning we transfer to Danang airport to fly to Ho Chi Minh City. The city is fast regaining its reputation as one of Asia’s most vibrant cities. Our guide and driver will pick up you at the airport and drive to Cu Chi tunnels to experience the amazing labyrinth of underground tunnels used by guerrillas during the war.
In the afternoon, we begin to tour Saigon including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the splendid Post Office, and War Remnants Museum, and the Reunification Palace. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 9: Mekong Delta – Vinh Long (B, L) 
You will depart from the hotel at 7:30 am. We drive to Vinh Long and enjoy a boat trip along the rivers narrow waterways, overhung with dense vegetation. We will have the opportunity to try exotic fruits in one of the many orchards.
For lunch we serve the local delicacy - an Elephant’s ear fish. We continue with a visit to Caibe floating market and a snake farm in Mytho on the way back.
Day 10: Departure (B)
