In the far north of Vietnam near the Chinese border is a high mountain valley laced with stunning rice terraces, forest, waterfalls and hill tribe communities. A steep two and a half day climb takes you to the roof of Indochina, affording views over spectacular mountains in both China and Laos. Sleep in the forest high up on the side of the mountain and eat excellent food cooked over an open fire.
